I’m fascinated by ideas stemming from „multi-species-thinking“ and cross-knowledge interplays. Such crossovers are the starting points for my artistic practice. Approaching these themes through their social and political entanglements, I try to address and formulate experimental connections between various disciplines of study and areas of knowledge. Instead of being contained to theoretical knowledge or representations of pure data, the questions and issues spanning my work manifest as corporeal experiences, which are comprised of sensory treatments and emotive awarenesses for the viewer or listener. I believe that by presenting my work in a way that is physically tangible, the expression of abstract information or abstract knowledge expands into a space of interpretative openness, where philosophy meets science while capitalist critiques are concurrent with science fiction. I like to describe my installations as “thinking laboratories” in which language and social systems, as well as the underlying mechanisms that shape them, are examined. These entanglements presented are poetically and critically navigated in my practice. Inspired by writings from feminist science fiction, I‘d like to understand my work as a kind of container for future thoughts and stories. Video as a visual medium or the story-telling capacities in sound coupled with the cogitative mechanisms of language, text, and objects grant me continual opportunities to devise my ongoing multi-media and immersive installations.
